When I got up this morning, you were on my mind....love Susan Branch!                                                           I didn't know,. she's a self-taught artist. Wow! gives me hope :) to just do it!...                                                  I would love to find a  favorite picture and  Re-Create: Scripture Pictures Cards.

~Praise God~ "How many are your works, O Lord! In Wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures." Psalm 104:24....Morning Everyone, Sorry it's been ever sooo long. We've had a hectic summer our landlady visited us in May asking us to give up our apt. due to unforeseen financial changes she was experiencing. We had just received a new refrigerator & light fixtures. Our son's wife family 'In Love's' offered us a bedroom in their home and we've been here since July. It's a really nice & pretty small town in N.Calif. The bedroom is yellow and comfy. We've since been given a black cat. Our neighbor, who had a few kittens became ill and was unable to keep them. Her senior cat Sweetpea came to live with us in August and we love him dearly. He is my answered prayer for a home-less cat. Our Front Porch has come to full fruition when I see him sitting on the Veranda..Lately though he's been crying alot to go outside. He sees one of the kittens poking his paw under the door and it drives him crazy. He starts crying 'OUT'!!!.....
Yesterday, we sat with Sweetpea outside in the sun and he loves the sun, except sometimes he goes out into the middle of the road. He had a wonderful time with me chasing him around. On a sad note he walked up the road two houses up to his old owners house and sat on the grass and went up the steps and stractted the welcome mat....he didn't sit on the bench though (where I'd find him when she was at the hospital). Tomorrow, Lord willing, I hope to take Sweetpea and my husband to the plaza across the street and watch the autumn leaves fall. I heard and saw they are large & leather like....hope it's a Sunny-day.....Lord willing..

THE STAINED GLASS PICKUP by Cathy Messecar

I've been reading her devotional book 'The Stained glass Pickup'....I love it. Here are some of the titles from the content list: Praying in the Garden; Bringing Real Character to the Family Tree: and Hold to my teachings. The best part of reading these devotionals from 'The Stained Glass Pickup' is at the end Cathy writes a short praying saying for example: In the name of your son Jesus,Beside your throne,Who still intercedes for me. amen....

Remember enjoy your Lord's day with a Cathy Messecar devotional book....

ROMANTIC VALENTINES

Had a beautiful Valentines Day with hubby & me :)
Received a small'Happy-Mail-Package' from my best friend chock full of Valentine treasures: A cute card, red lace plastic valentine coasters, heart stickers, etc.
It was a delightful treat...arrived Feb.16th...a reminder of a lovely Valentines day.

Remember: Enjoy a 'Lovely Evening with your hubby'...and enjoying sharing a small 'Happy-Mail-Package' with a loved one.

DAVEY'S DELIGHT....

Spoke with our grandson Davey last Saturday. He was all excited for his brother Joey, who won 2nd place at the Regional Science Fair. Everyone was excited and talking loud in the background. Davey got flustered and said,'Do you mind, I'm speaking to Nana and I can't hear myself think!'....I had to laugh. With that, he shared with me how he's been carrying around this large '10th Anniversary' book of Calvin & Hobbes, so he can read it whenever he gets a chance. Typical 10 year old, I could just picture him with his backpack full of goodies: Book,art-notebook,pen,pencil,small hand-held toy,snacks,water-bottle,etc. It's an adventure in Davey's back-pack....wish I were there to share.

Remember: Always carry your favorite adventures with you....you never know, when you'll have quiet time to share your joys with loved ones.

HAPPYBIRTHDAY FIONA!!!

Woke up this morning to children's laughter....
The girls are home! my neighbor has twin girls and my best friend Fiona, she's an answered prayer (prayed God would send a little red head-done:)
I peeked outside to see Fiona's red head and her sister Audrey (Juliet was inside). Fiona was riding her new bike, it was her birthday. I ran inside and grabbed her gift-bag with a plastic backpack full of plastic dishes & scarfs for her and her sisters, too. As I flew down the steps, I realized I had my bedroom slippers and they got wet. With a smiling heart,I gave Fiona her gift. She thanked me and said, "I'm five years old"!
I'm so glad to have such darling sweethearts living next door, she is like a fairey *twinkling* her pretty smile up at me on a sunny day.

Remember: Love & Enjoy your neighborhood *Fairies* every time you can....

OUR LIBRARIAN

When our librarian is amused, you can here her laughter ringing through-out the library. It puts a smile on everyone's face.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Created this with thoughts of my New England Sister's In Christ. We miss the beautiful snowy scenes, but not driving in it. It hailed yesterday and I giggled as a child as I held the little frost pebble in hand. Precious Memories of God opening his Snow-Chamber's and charming us with his precious visit to the earth he so generously created for us.

Enjoy & Remember: The Cool refreshing scent of newly fallen snow....

BED & BREAKFAST

Been thinking B&B....and what it takes to run one.
The thought of being a Home-keeper after God's own heart. What a challenge beginning with a Welcoming Door sign, to Charming Kitchen, Quiet & warm sitting living-room, and beautiful bedroom.I've even thought of a name for our home....hmm sounds like a good idea.
Remember:
God's wise,powerful,creative,
presence
is ever with us.
Enjoy: A Restored & Renewed Home from Winter-Spring

A PATCHWORK FAMILY

Been reading this wonderful book by Charlotte Hubbard. It's so good. The setting is on a Christian Homestead. Two Orphan children step off the railroad and are abandoned by their mother.
Taken in by this sincerely hospital Christian family, they are adopted and loved as one of their own. The tale is charming & whimsical,as it opens with a scene of an abundant Home-cooked meal, and beautiful script of this Western Historical melodrama. Hope you get to enjoy it too.

Remember: A good tale, spins sweet dreams...
Enjoy: A Home-cooked meal & Joyful fellowship.

LOVED BY ALL & MISSED BY MANY....

Augustana recreates her life with her mother,
Remember how she taught us their is no other.

From Birth, my Mami would laugh & chide,
'Is it your birthday?', I almost died!
But she really was a fine lady you see,
Everyone knew her as a Sage, as sweet as could be.
While sitting on a Sunny bench w/her new 'Diana-Treasure' baby,
Someone laughed saying, 'You've lost your lap'....
'That'd be news to her, Mami said in a Snap':)
One Mother's day, she smiled & smelled my gift of scented flower,
Her joyful smile filled me up with God's loving power.
She sang as she taught me to re-pot plants....
as we played with the dirt (never mind the ants:)
Mami loved to walk to the places-where 'It' was at,
while I convinced her to adopt our friends cat.
She'd sing a dirge and teach us a lesson or two,
we sat at her feet, while she'd chase away blues.
'Annie,Get me a Cafe!',she'd say, while Mami sat with my sick sister Millie night & day.
Sewing was her legacy, she taught everything she knew to me :)
Mami read us'El Diario'newspaper daily, the woes & hooray,
As She taught & thought of our future life someday.
Mami's slipper-chancletas would fly thru the air,
as we tried to escape, daring to act as if we didn't care.
As a grown lady, Millie had Mami's change purse,
buying her medicine-now she was the nurse.
Our Parents on Sunday to the Park would go,
a promise made by my sister made along time ago.
The oldest sister has all the early memories,
for she was the one who cared for all of us, especially me.
As I was going thru Mami Treasures....found bounty items that her love did measure.
My favorite doll she kept safely,
and the quotes in Mami's letters still teach lessons to me.

PASEDENA ROSE BOWL PARADE !!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!

In Christ God promises a new beginning for you.
We shouldn't have to wait a whole year through.
All great blessings come from God above.
He sends them In Christ filled with his love.
As we watched the Parade, I exclaimed with glee,
One day Christ will come how grand that will be.
He's the Marshall in front float for all to see,
all the blessings that he gives us daily.
I enjoyed the excitement and I enjoyed the fun.
Someday it will be much better when we see God's son.

Remember & Enjoy: Life's Jubilee considering how wonderful & grand it will be for you & me.

Remember & Enjoy: Watch the Pasadena Rose Bowl Parade online: http://www.ktla.com/entertainment/roseparade/livevideo/

AS I REMEMBER CHRISTMAS....

As I remember Christmas, I think of Christmas past.
The days & night spent wondering, when will he come at last.
Not realizing that in my quest our God was preparing me.
For that final celebration when Christ returns you'll see.
We thought of all the presents & candy oh so grand.
Just think of all the blessing 'In Christ' our God has planned.
The season changed in wonder and we all looked above.
Thinking of the joys fulfilled when God would send his love.
The girls all dressed so pretty, the boys sharp as a tac.
Eyes all looking forward, never looking back.
Courtney with her journal would write it down you see.
She kept all family memories to share with you & me.
Jasmine sweetly smiling preparing for that day.
To sing the Joys of Jesus her favorite song Sunday.
And Wesley boy was cousin sick, you know he just did miss.
Joel Andrew & David William, but one thing was amiss.
Their thoughts float to heaven as they worshipped God Sunday.
And they'd all know they're together In Spirit,
especially on the Lord's Day.

Remember & Enjoy: Angels rejoice when we turn our hearts to God....Acts 2:38-47....God adds us to his church family.

POPPA's TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Tonight is Christmas Eve, and I can't wait to to hear
Poppa voice reading 'Twas the Night before Christmas right hear in my ear.
He reads it every year I know since we were little boys,
his voice puts us to sleep as I dream of Santa's toys.
Whenever I think of Poppa, I will always reminisce,
and his voice I'll hear in my heart as I plan my Christmas list.
Someday my children may ask me, of the stories Poppa read.
I will take them in my lap and repeat the words he said.
Merry Christmas to all and as they bow their head.
I'll plant a 'Poppa-kiss' and as I put them all to bed.

Remember & Enjoy: Cherished Memories...Thank you Poppa :)
