PATIENCE TO DEVELOPE CHARACTER (Romans)WHAT"S YOUR DREAM?

If your wondering why the Amen, that was a personal prayer. Today the Nation celebrates Martin Luther King Day....I wonder how he'd view our Nation Today. Proud or Sad or maybe glad. Hopefully the ladder for everyone. Remembering his speech....I have been to the Mountain Top....knowing like Moses, if he'd see deliverance & the promise land. Yet, his quote always rings true for all of us: CONTENT OF CHARACTER....Holy Lord God grant us the Pure Wisdom to grow thus In Christ.....amen

TO GOD BE THE GLORY.....GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE :)

I was thinking about a story from war torn Europe how a 'One praying home was spared' during the bombing. And I prayed 'Lord, be with Roberta Edwards and her children's home. Then I received and e-mail from a family friend member of the church of Christ. She sent this photo cover of the magazine I had gotten this last week.

Was I ever glad and thanking God that this wonderful lady, her children's home and work for the Lord had been spared. They are able to feed 150 people. Pray for donations & resources for this great missionary work in Haiti.
Remember: God answers prayers of the greatful & faithful....

EARTHQUAKE!!! PRAYING NEW MEXICO BOUND

We had a 6.5 earthquake in N. California. We are still feeling tremors in the beautiful victorian Village of Ferndale, California. It felt like a jackhammer swirling through our small apartment. My husband & I held each other in the doorway to our bedroom.

God in his infinite wisdom & mercy sent my daughter in love's sister to visit w/her girls. They helped up pick up the things thrown to the floor by the quake. Thank God only two items were cracked/chipped and our lives were spared. Glass fell from local stores. Our elderly friend Trudy the candy lady shop was in the news, I phoned her but no answer, hopefully shes with relatives.

Meanwhile, I am downsizing & packing & praying......Lord willing hopefully we may be moving to New Mexico to be with our Son & his family. Anyone ever live there? please share...thanks, ana

Enjoy: And Remember we are precious in God's sight, trust he has us covered at all times. I stand amazed how a simple visit turned into a lifesaver....Thank you, God.

HAPPY NEW YEAR-FELIZ ANO NUEVO 2010 !!!

Our son called early on in the evening to wish us a Happy New Year. The family was attending a New Year Fellowship with the New Mexico Christian Children Home where they worship, work & live. They will have a prayer time just into midnight to begin the year worshipping our Lord & Saviour God.

I took my 'Traditional nap' just after supper and kept asking hubby 'What time is it?', got out of bed at 11:57pm. Yikes, almost missed seeing my NYC New Years Eve Ball ! Well, didn't miss it. got to see Dick Clark, he's 80 years old now...what an icon of how music can inspire a man to keep on keeping on :)

Gave hubby a Happy New Years hug & kiss and sat on the blue sofa. Bang! someone outside was doing fireworks. Get me excited, I almost opened the door, not :) I said to hubby, 'They wanna put Ferndale on the map'....So tired began watching tv on a lady that came to America from Honduras, it was sad her daugther in a wheelchair and she worked so hard doing everything from washing dishes to washing dog to send money home. It touched my heart to see her struggle so. In the end, she got to see the Statue of Liberty and she said: I am an American with a smile of satisfaction on her face. It pays to work hard and do right.

Enjoy your New Year and may God will be done for everyone....

CROCHETING COMFORTS ME.....

This picture reminds me of when I was a teen. My mother and I would crochet ecru squares for her dinging room table. When my sister would asked 'What did Ana cook?', my mom would pipe up and say, 'The crochet tablecloth your eating on!':)
I may ask a young lady to do the same with me again someday, hope she's interested.

I read in a magazine today that working with your hands is good therapy. I knew that but hadn't really experienced it until I picked up a needle once again. Working on a long ago ufo I had started last summer during VBS, I once again began to crochet. Oh what a comfort & joy I felt when the apron began taking shape. I prayed for everyone and everything as I sat back in coziness.

The gift was completed just in time for Christmas and well received :)

REMEMBER: Enjoy & share your talents, one day you may eat atop your crafts :)

FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE.....

I love Russian Culture especial Russian literature. It began innocently one day when I mentioned it to a co-worker and she recommended 'Zoya' by Danielle Steel. I was hooked. I read the book and loved the Fabrege eggs & Ballerina scenes. I've since been amored with the art & culture from there.

Our minister from Rhode Island went on a missionary trip and told us it was freezing and the place reminded him of the 1930's in technology. He enjoyed the Russian Circus and shared pictures of poodles dancing so primitive yet cute. One sister in Christ had four daughters, she gave him money and he bought her back 'Russian Dolls'. He displayed them along with all the other gifts her bought and they were 'gorgeous'. I asked him how it looked and he said he saw birch trees everywhere. One funny thing he shared was he wore ear-muffs and apparently that's what all the 'street-hood' wear. The teens all started calling him 'hoodlum!', he was so embarrassed, but took it all in stride.

ENJOYING: The classical Nutcracker Suite a Maurice Sendak production awesome :)

REMEMBER: When you see a birch tree....think from Russia with love from above.
