HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON

And enjoy yourself in every way. Birthdays come but once a year. And in our heart yours is so dear. Because you are the only one, who fills our life with love & fun.
A son like you is so honest and true and that is why we love you.
Since the day you were born your handsome face, in my heart will never be replaced.
In Queens, N.Y. you were born to me, oh what a wonderful day of glee.
Your hair so dark and your eyes of hue, my one and only little boy dressed in  blue.
Throughtout the years and times we've spent, I knew that you were heaven sent.
We've been together through thick and thin, able and willing 'In Christ' to win'...
The hearts of many & one who will always love you...
My one and only Handsome & True.

INDEPENDANT CHRISTIAN FILM MAKERS

As Holywood honors it's own, Chrisitian conservative-film makers are creating their own path to (non/violence- non/graphic films )God thru Christ and they've made surprising in-roads.
Don't believe it ? Take this quiz 'what was the biggest grossing independant film of 2008?
That's right 'Fireproof' starring teen idol Kirk Cameron, who volunteered his acting for this popular
Christian film. In January, 2000 fans gather at San Antonio, Texas Independant film festival a crowd
of respectfully dressed young Christian men and ladies.
Lights dimmed and the festival welcoming organizer Doug Phillips spoke to the 'Opening Ceremonies' group of excited for God truth  Chrisitans.
"We are here to send a message to the world that we no longer want our children
immersed in toxic media which is in opposition to our Lord Jesus Christ".
He announced to the cheering crowd, " Christian film making is coming of age !"
Building an industry around faith based on Christlike values. He noted he began the film festival
five years ago, when he noticed Christ was losing the hearts and minds of our youth.
The single most biggest influence for believers In Christ should be in Christ Church, however he noted
unfortunately the media is shaping ideas resulting in negative instead of positive values.
The competition is on for Christian independant film makers to come up with 'Positive role-model mentors and ideal values ' a fund of $101,000. (note larger than Cannes Sundance) has been set aside to fund this purposeful endeavor. Films with a Christ like perspective and not a worldly view to write great stories and produce great films. For example the current leading film titled:
'Fireproof' is the awesome movie all are flocking to see, it's about a young couple considering how their struggles and love resembles God sending his love In Christ for us.
'The widow's mite' is the other movie a musical about a widow in need of support to pay back taxes to the government for her property notes oppression and home ownership rights during of early settlers.
Quoting Steven Morales exec.director of a family media group investing in Christian films:
"There is a hunger; an emphasis on wholesome stories; good strong economically viable films;
an unmet niche; end result to Glorify God with our skills and talents.

For Christian film seekers: "A moment in History, truly meaningful to the Kingdom of God".

ENJOY & REMEMBER: Our value may be found 'IN CHRIST' loving words for life.

MOMMA"S HOME

Momma Becca is home now we can eat.
Oh what a joy, when she serves brother and I our best treat. We really do love the bread she does make. In a clean warm kitchen she enjoys to bake.
My favorite time is early in the morn, when she gives us wonderful muffins she created at dawn.
All day long, she never fails, to cook for us and share wise tales. Of times when our Bucky taught daughters to cook,
as momma shares her recipe from her favorite cook book.
We always helps, but sometimes it seems we see Momma in the kitchen even in our dreams.
We always remember and never will forget, of all the spoon licking she allowed us to get.
On weekends our father does  cook , wow! a contest between him and mom, we wonder who'll win let's take a look.
. He's a good cook, you need to  understand his Wello was a a chef in the Americana a Hotel that's grand.
My mother is a good cook, too.
She buys lots of staples & veggies and her recipes always are new.
When we spy her reading her  Bed & Breakfast  cook book. We smile and look at each other with an excited look.
Momma is cooking all is well with the world.
We'll be healthy and smile with a happy grin. When momma cooks three square meals everybody wins.

A SPRING THING

Thinking and Hoping and planning and dreaming.
I decided to go ahead and get a much needed hair-cut. A couple of weeks ago, on a Tuesday afternoon, I made an appointment with our local hair-salon.
Like Nobody Else (is the name of the place) had moved to a new location on Main St.
The place is so much bigger. I really like the prints on  the wall reminds me of a museum.
When I walked in Trudy the local candy lady was there, and she mentioned that Laurie the hairdresser was sick.
However, my appointment was with Laura, so Trudy left. Laura turned out to be a really nice lady.
She told me Laurie little boy is sick and needs to go to San Francisco children's Hospital.
A Dinner is being given at the end of this month for medical expenses for her son.
All in all, I had a good visit at the hairdresser. My hair looks and feels great just how I like it. I told her 'I love it' with a great big smile. Done I paid only $20.00 ! and gave her a generous tip. I do really love it.
REMEMBER: Enjoy your day in town (don't frown) and you may even get a crown :)

I REMEMBER WHEN...

Last week while visiting Trudy at her candy store, she gave us two new wrapped Reminisce magazine.
I am thoughly enjoying them so much, especially the wisdom nuggets posted on the side of the pages.
The issue has elegant-sepia turn of the century photos and lots of nostalgic stories from the 30's-50's.
I love the illustrated advertisements of the 50's, remember speedy alka seltzer he was so cute.
One of my favorite jingle that still stays with me today, is Tammy.
'Tammy, she's a doll, she's Ideal,she's sweet sixteen.
I had asked for her for Christmas, but my mom couldn't find her, so my dad bought me a 'Model-Doll',
I played with her designing & sewing creative gowns for her. I loved my treasured gift.
As I look through Reminisce, it takes me back in times to those wonderful days of long ago.
REMEMBER: Enjoy & Reminisce about our 'Good Old Days'.....

BAKING WITH JASMINE

Baking with Jasmine is lots of fun. We should all join her come on everyone. First things first for you see. Mother must put on some tea. Grandma messages Nana Ana on facebook. She wishes she could take a look. But just to think that Jasmine is baking. Put her in the mood for shaking-baking:) This is a very special time. To bake with Grandma Starla is oh so Prime.
Tomorrow the Grandmothers, Mothers and young ladies will remember. And recall this poem on a day in December. When Nana Ana gets a  call that Jasmine will be Baking for all. She's one blessed girl, you see
she has a family that loves her totally. Jasmine and her girlfriends will all be fine.  When they see her beauty for 'In Christ' she will shine.
Baking Jasmine has a sister Elizabeth Longfellow's her name. Her name has been changed , but in God's eyes we're all the same. I think with Grandma Starla they'll co-laborate, and write a Cook-Book of how Jasmine loves to bake. Now that would really be truly great.....
REMEMBER: Enjoy the scent and all that's meant....when Jasmine time at the oven is spent....

CARE COTTAGE

Good afternoon Friends hope your watching our Progress. Our Front Porch is ready for company.  Although it needs a few more 'Spring-like' touches.

Basically it's been 'Deco-Cleaned' and ready for family and friends to hopefully visit soon.
I hope to walk to Ace, (it's about 2miles round trip ) and check all their new flowering-plants.
Our Anniversary-Ivy plant will be placed outside to get some fresth air.
As you recall, Our prayers were Answered a couple of years back and Our Front Porch was restored to it's former beauty. The owner had all three houses in our cul-de sac freshly painted. The color chosen for us was a lite rose tone very pretty. Our neighbor's was a lite lemon color. And the 'main-house' is a soft green. As for the garden, I wish I had the know how to deal with a small space at a time.
Well the sun  is shining and it's brunch time need to get started on our day. I will keep you posted on any new and exciting ideas...
Remember: All things work for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose...Romans 8:28

CABIN FEVER !

                                       Good Morning Everyone.
I've been experiencing a bit of cabin fever lately. Hoping for spring like weather. I decided to join
Facebook and I'm enjoying keeping in touch with friends & family. I found an old Ames friend and she has 4 grandchildren!
I need to get up and get creative and accomplish something in my life. Maybe, I'll deco-clean a way to clean & redecorate at the same time and reward myself with a favorite pastime Garden Walking  I feel like Alice, who cried so much her tears floated her away from everyone & everything. The Holidays was sweet & quiet, but the New Year brings memories of my mom (passed Jan/2001). I need to get out of here while the sun is still shining.
Even her hair looks like mine-white! Aye, yikes I need to go to the beauty parlor and get a make-over :)
Our apartment is so small, when we pass one another it's like 'shall we dance':) I love the coziness, but sometimes I need to sit outside and meditate. Soon the sun will set directly over 'Our Front Porch' that is  one of my favorite times of the year. Goodbye Alice in Wonderland I'm heading out to explore my environs :)

Remember: Enjoy the Sun while it's still Shining :) Go for that Garden Walk and leave the deco-cleaning for a rainey day.... now where's that baby pig ???
