Mary Pondered in her Heart....

Luke 2:18,19....and all who heard it wondered at the things that were told by them the Shepherds. But Mary treasured up all these things pondering them in her Heart.

At this time of Merriment & Good Cheer....I must needs to like Our Lord's Mother Mary ponder in mine own heart what Christmas truly means to me as I consider these quotes: Isaiah 9:2...The people who walk in darkness shall see a great light, those who live in a dark land the light shall shine on them.
What can I give him, poor as I am ?
If I were a Shepherd, I'd bring him a lamb.
If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part.
Yet what can I give him? I give him my heart.
Christina Rossetti

May Christ Lord & light of our hearts shine through out all our Seasons with Love, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Patience, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness and Self Control...

Remember: Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say Rejoice.

AUTUMN ELUDES US

Autumn with it's wonderous ways,
Know just how precious & few it's days.
Each time we go out to discover,
it flees away leaving glorious cover.
Of which to our eyes does bring more,
from God our soul he shows restore.
In it's beauty we do see,
God glorious grace thru eternity.

VETERAN'S DAY WITH YOU....

We spent our Veteran's Day together,
God sent from above perfect weather.
We love Fortuna a fun-filled town,
This day our Veteran's they did crown.
With Honor, love & respect due,
to someone as precious & courageous as you.
As the taps did play my heart did swell,
Stirring my heart for the young confederate soldiers who rang the bell.
On those cold days they did march to fight,
their spirits today took their flight.
As today each soldier was called to stand,
My pride in you was oh so grand.
Your served with respect & duty fullfilled,
Following those who's memory is honored still.

Thank you for caring & sharing....:)

BECOME AS A CHILD AGAIN.....

I felt like a child once again,
as before our precious flag I did spend.
Putting my hand upon my heart,
did cause my memories & tears to start.
I thought of day that long gone by,
when all was well in God's loving eye.
As a child so innocent I did say,
Our National Anthem everyday.
As I sang & pondered at Glories Red,White & blue,
I prayed God bless America...me & you.

All For One & One for All....

PRAYING FOR OUR SOLDIERS...

We have soldiers we pray for,
every time we ask for more,
That God will keep them in his care,
for they fight for Freedom, love & care.
Looking forward to this week
to spend a day,
With many a Soldier,
who fought their way...
From death door they did return,
and God's protection they did learn.
Our Holy Lord does answer prayer,
and always keep them in his care.
Remember: To honor a Veteran on his/her day.....

REBEKAH'S HOPE

Once upon a lovely spring day,
Rebekah Hope thought to pray.
A beautiful girl to protect & love,
Trusting this gift-child from God above.

REFLECTIONS IN PRELUDE

Passing by the pretty pond.
The lady pause and thought beyond.
To days long gone and did reflect.
Thoughts a faithful heart would not reject.
The sunshine lovingly on her brow.
As the lady of Autumn took her bow.
She pledge that one day soon she'd see,
her children pause beside their tree.
In adoration she did pray...
To see God's heritage play one day.

OUR JOYFUL OCTOBER DAY....

Happy Anniversary October couple...on a festive fall day, our lives went out to play. We felt the breeze and smelled crisp fresh New England air.
We smiled in love without a care.
Today we celebrate that wonderful day.
Still sensing the beauty we share always.

LION OF JUDAH....

PRAYER: Lion of Judah, rebuke, protect & bless us.

DREAMING Of SUSANNA

Awoke in my dream at my sons home. Saw baby Susanna wrapped in a white blanket and my son was up in the middle of the night feeding her and cooking a shepherd's pie at the same time....

Golden Dreams....

One night I dreamed of a Golden Tree,
It's opened arms beckoned me.
To trust God's wisdom from above...and always acknowledge his true love.
It showed me a journey of Loyalties,
as I shared with my daughter in-love
our Memories.
She reminded me of our family ideals,
as we shared from God's dream a spiritual meal.
She told me of her Popa & Momma's goals & pleasures,
to plant Seeding-trees for Godly-homes with treasures....
I will always remember a lane of lesser golden-trees in a stream,
and appreciate and respect: God knows the meaning of dreams....

Cross-roads....

Nina waits sitting on a fence,
always pondering trying to make sense.
She should redeem her time every day.
Not let her days waste away.
She misses her journal, that's part of her frown...
God gives her joy, when Fiona's around.
Truly her peace would be a picnic in the park,
but that she fears is just a lark.
She stays in doors behind the scene,
and stuffs her self with mint de creme.
Lighting scented candles would really be nice,
even lovely fresh flowers would suffice.
Her bag seems packed in a retro-pictures,
Life images of what she reads in the scriptures.
Heading faithfully to her eternal end,
"Polishing my crown", till she meets her best friend.
Joy in the morning, surely this life will cease.
Nina at last will experience eternal peace.

Miss My Boys....

Isaac boy you are missed,
Yoda boy we send you a kiss.
With a big brother you are blessed,
he'll protect you even if his bed is messed.
Be a good buddy, be our Isaac's friend
and he'll be with you till the end.
love, nana ana

When the Moon you see remember me....

To the Fire-flies that got away.
Hope to see you one fine day.
Every time I look around,
I see a memory and start to frown.
But then I think of that lovely refrain,
Joy in the morning will come again.
Meanwhile, I look to the star above,
and stare at the moon and remember your love.
nana ana :)

Columbus Day

A Italian young man so brave and so true,
Knew in his heart what he needed to do.
Before King Ferdinand & Queen Isabella,
he requested audience to bequest....
a voyage-adventure he wanted to test.
They admired his courage and all that he knew,
Gave him their blessing, may God go with you.
He landed at on our native shores in 1493....
and the rest you know is 'blessed-history'.
We honor his birthday on this Autumn day,
and Thank Columbus & Queen Isabella for
believing & supporting....and God showing the way.

A Tree grows in Brooklyn....

One upon a time a book was placed in my hands, by a lovely librarian who had mentor plans.
She said,'You'll enjoy this you see, for the young girl reminds me of you, dearie :)
Alrighty then, I thought, I'll give it a try what can it hurt to indulge and to spy,
The shelve of new books as she passed me by.
But what's this a passage caught my eye.
I try to look lofty and wise in my pride.
As I set the book down, taking her gift in stride.
She smiled and said, 'Girl, don't be shy,
Read me that quote that I saw you spy.
I smiled and read it completely you see,
As She tried to give the gift of choices to me.
"Afterwards, poor foreigners seeped in and the quiet old brownstone houses were backed up into flats, feather beds were pushed out on the window sill, and the Tree of Heaven flourished." "That was the kind of tree it was. It liked poor people."
Wow! What great Revelation, she was sharing with me.
The gift of one reader to another,
it was as if she was my 'Librarian Mother'.
For you see most people paid no attention to me.
I held my head high as she smiled and said tenderly,
There's more where that came from you just listen & follow me.
So pay attention to your Librarian for she has the knowledge,
and you'll become a scholar without going to college.

Exceedingly Abundantly!

Enjoyed a Beautiful God-given day with my husband on Saturday during our Town Wide Sale.

We walked and looked at a lots of neat items.

Just as we were turning to go back home, my husband
spotted a table.
We walked to it and found just what we needed a Delonghi Primo Toaster Oven!

God answered our prayers, we've been needing a Toaster Oven to heat up our meals & baking, too.

I am always amazed at how my husband can spot a good deal...we hurried home and plugged it in
and it works fine.

Enjoy: The Lord's Day: Sunday Brunch a special treat with our good gifts from God...

Remember: Thank the Lord for Wonderful Husbands and their sharp eyes for 'Good finds'.

SURPRISE!!!

God is so good ...Answering our needed prayers. We've been looking online for a microwave.

On Saturday our family from Garberville came to visit us. The church of Christ gave us a gift, a brand new Microwave Oven! :O

We were so surprised and thankful to God for their loving kind gesture.

I cooked Rice & Beans and everyone enjoyed a day of wonderful fun & fellowship.

Thank Our loving Lord for such a great family In Christ...God bless & keep them in his loving care always.

Remember: A granny apple a day keep the sweetness all day :)

p.s. We even got a bushel of granny apples to cook in our new microwave.

Welcome Home !

Embarassing

I'm so embarrassed, I can't come in contact with anyone: Pregnant ladies, Children, Immune Compromised (cancer patients) and Seniors, due to the Shingles! Ugh, That's just about everyone, and I love to go to town and visit all my lady friends in the stores :(.

Thank God though I can sit in the sun now and talk to the my neighbor and her toddler & twin daughters from my balcony as they play in the back yard. They look strangely up at me as to ask why doesn't she come down and stand at the gate and speak to us. I don't dare tell them of the Shingles.
I really don't enjoy this at all :(. But I'm learning that 'Patient develops Character'...I hope my reading of God's word will help me grow strong like Jesus in Luke 2:52..and the child grew in pure wisdom, health and understanding, and in favor with God and mankind.

As I place my hands over my face in shame, I pray 'Abba Father'....In Christ (the great physician) Thy Will be done...

Remember: Enjoy & Love your neighbors and while your at it give everyone a hug while you can :)

(R & R) THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS :)

Doctors orders relax & rest and I've included 'Be Still and Know I AM God' Psalm 46:10
I've had to stay indoors away from the sun due to medication...I'm on anti-viral medication and waiting for this ailment to clear up. Been really catching up on reading Christian Woman magazines. Done with all my library books, but can't return them just yet :( and I love going to the library, too.

Remember: Enjoy your home for these are the days the Lord has made and we are truly
blessed to Rejoice (rest & relax) in them...

In God We Trust

Trust in God and lean not on your own understanding in all thy way acknowledge him and he will direct thy path....I do believe this especially this whole month...I've had to stay at home and Trust & Pray to God to heal me of this unforseen ailment...
Everytime I take my medicine, I thank God for my doctor being so near by and sending me pain medication. I also pray that this ailment doesn't repeat ever again and that there is no permanent nerve damage, also. I remember those praying for me and thank God and ask him to bless them.
I do believe God answers prayers, he has before in the past and will again.

Remember: Enjoy long walks in the sunshine and rejoice in the healthy days of your youth....

August

Happy Birthmonth to me :) Began with a visit to doctor. Have a mysterious ailment...soon found out what it was. I love this painting...because I picture myself enjoying pink roses in the country side just like this. She even looks like me. Although my body thinks I'm in my 60's and is responding such. I still feel young at heart...like Jesus said, we must be like little children :)

Remember: Enjoy & Care in your'Healthy Youth', and take really good care of your 'Mind, Body,Soul and Spirit....
Especially care for your Body and with God's help it will always take care of you. So that when you age (and we all do ) your body doesn't think your older than what you really are....

"The Promise" By The Martins (2009)

I am truly encouraged!
A get well gift from my sister 'In Christ' Starla*, she is so sweet and special to me. A precious and wonderful mother and grandmother. Always caring, always sharing.I'm glad we get along so well, and we always enjoy the same things together. The best part of our loving friendship 'In Christ', is when our Grandson Joseph looks up at both of us with a smile of Joy & tranquility.

Remember: Enjoy each others company 'In The Lord' and God will bless your Heritage in him.

Mary Poppins: A Spoonful Of Sugar

A Spoonful of Sugar does make the medicine go down :) and well as all the sweet thoughts & prayers. I missed that piece of Birthday-cake (Christian Fellowship-party) had to be canceled :(.I got a Jack in the Box cold and found a rash on my belly. Shingles are chicken pox dormant in the spine and flares up around age 60. It's no fun...but, I'm enjoying chores around the house-I call it Deco-Cleaning. The Nanny reminds me of my Doctor.

Pacific Ocean

Surprise! Andy drove me to our local Centerville Beach on Saturday afternoon. At first I thought we were going to drive by the kids old neighborhood, but he kept driving and I was stunned :O Wow, I was a little scared due to the winding roads. But soon enough we were there and wella the Ocean scent overwhelmed us.

It was wonderful, I ran around like a little kid collecting driftwood and colorful rocks. Andy would poke at them with his cane, we found some really neat 'Designer Pebbles' created by God with lines in them.

Oh ! What an awesome & refreshing experience watching the waves roll in...I walked up to them...thinking they come up at the same rate...and got my sneaker soaked...I squealed like a child :)

The most memorable part was walking the Dunes at the end and thinking of when Joey and I use to walk them together.

Remember: Enjoy God's awesome Creation and be Thankful as a Child....

MY NEW FRIEND 'IVY'

Our neighbor Winnie lives by herself and enjoys sitting in the sun reading.

Most Sunday mornings, on my way to worship, I find her soaking the sun.
This last week as I happen to pass her doorway, I spotted a trembling tail.
Upon further inspection, I notice she had a new dog! Excited and smiling
I quickly made my aquaintance with 'Ivy' her new Beagle. Ivy is ten years
old, she was given to Ms. Winnie by firefighters who train the men where
her son is confined. Ivy took to Ms. Winnie right away, loving staying by
side in a shy-shady spot. I think we will enjoy this new addition to our
culde-sac.

SWIM TO ME A Novel by: Betsy Carter

I just started this Summer Read and I can't put it down, it's so good.
My favorite genre....Coming of Age story of a young girl from of all places the Bronx!
It begins with a young girl named Delores...which in Spanish means 'Pain'...
The writing reminds me of the Movie-Matilda...remember by: Raul Dahl, in this story her parents are like Matilda's parents...Wacky & Weird....yet somewhat funny.
It's poignant, silly, sad & cute and funny all at the same time ! I love it :)
Without giving anymore away-Young Delores decides to leave home and become a Mermaid.
She travels by bus to Weeki Wachee in Florida and thus begins the Adventure of this Summer-Read!

Enjoy & Remember: Somewhere beyond the Sea...Somewhere waiting for me...Our love is build on Golden Sand....and watches the ships go a sailing :)

PICNIC DATE :)

I PRAYED FOR CHURCH OF CHRIST FELLOWSHIP AND GOD ANSWERED MY PRAYERS.....
We had a Wonderful Picnic yesterday with Our Brother & Sister In Christ and their three precious children.
We were invited for a post-holiday treat at our local park. Packed and ready to go early...with a light step to my heart. Knowing we would have a good time.

We were truly blessed & delighted to spend the afternoon in such great company. The grill was a bit tricky, but that didn't stop the joy & excitement of being together.

We saw the Fireworks the night before from 'Our Front Porch'....as always they were great!
I got to sing: I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy...that made my day :)

Enjoy & Remember: God bless America every day, we pray.

Dear Vienna...by Owl City (song)

I regarded the World is such a sad site, until I viewed it in black & white. And I reviewed every frame in basic shape, and sealed the exits with caution tape. Don't refocus your eyes in the darkness and don't remember this place unless, I describe the things that you can not see. And we'll unravel the mystery.

You all are my friends, in textbooks, I'm going home cause my blood cells cannot depend on the weather.
In photographs there's a light shown out my window somewhere way up there.

Dear Vienna...are you singing?, dear Vienna...are you swinging? Dear Vienna...we were happy like the shape of Maine....when we got carried away.

REMEMBER: Enjoy sharing rainbows....

Done Downsizing???

I just told myself, just pack what you want to take....it got so confusing. It's not like I haven't
done this before. It's just so overwhelming. There are days we just get out of town to distract
our mind and enjoy the good weather. Hopefully, all will be behind me soon.
Tomorrow our good family friend Heidi is coming over to check two bookcases I'm giving away.
I hope she takes them or I'll have to donate them to Miranda-pet sanctuary.

Either way, I need to get back up and continue downsizing the more I give away the less I pack :)

REMEMBER: Enjoy the Spring-air and don't be afraid to care...even for black cats, too.

Reflections of the way life use to be.....

that shows our neighbors beautiful backyard gazebo. Right now there are Calla Lillies
growing and they remind me of my daughter in-love.
So dear Lord, thanks you for all the Sunny Scenes you provide all these years.
I'm really sorry I have to leave my humble abode. We really enjoyed the view from up here.

Hopefully, our new home will be just as loved & appreciated.

Somewhere over the rainbow way up high....dreams of a lullaby.
Someday I wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me.

REMEMBER: Enjoy your home....and when you close your tired eyes it will always be there.

THE KISS....

Precious You are to Me.

Everyday that's what I see;
Your love & duty to take care of me.
Today on a Sunny Sunday;
I hope God brings good things your way.
This Kiss is to show & tell;
That I do love you very well.

THE PROPOSAL....

She promptly & graciously gave him a cool glass of Aqua. Upon his appreciative return of the glass, he asked her for her company with her parents permission of course.

Remember: In all things give thanks for this is the will of God In Christ Jesus concerning you....

Enjoy: A wonderful Lord's Day on Sunday & Happy Valentines Everyone.

POWER FOR TODAY....

IN THE MORNING, O LORD, YOU WILL HEAR MY VOICE; IN THE MORNING I WILL ORDER MY PRAYER TO YOU AND EAGERLY WATCH. PSALM 5:3....

For the last month, I've been reading Power for Today pamphlet with my Bible. These booklets that I've had for
years are small dailey readers with a: Theme Title & Bible lesson followed by a Bible thought....here's an example.
FACING OUR FEARS
Joshua 1:1-9
Bible verse:"Do not let your hearts be troubled...John 14:1

God told Joshua to be strong and courageous, not terrified or discouraged.....Commit yourself to Gods plans and purposes; He will provide you with the power to be victorious against apparently overwhelming enemies.

Sing: A Mighty Fortress is our God....

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Enables us to choose this day to believe in your word over our fears. To trust your promises & seek to serve you faithfully. In Christ thy will be done, Amen.

UNBEKNOWNST TO US....

Ever wonder about the people you pass on the street. I do :)
Sometimes I imagine they are tourist and that they think
I'm a tourist, too. Unless of course I've just been shopping
and carrying groceries home. Our Town always has some-
one taking pictures of the lovely picturesque Victorian homes.

One day I was at our local Art Museum with my two grandsons, and we saw a really handsome poodle. W stopped
to admire it. The boys felt his soft hair and the dog was so
polite & docile. I exclaimed out loud, 'Oh, he so cute & gentle
reminds me of a baby'....and the boys agreed, asking the owner how old was he? She said 'He's ten years old'.

I mentioned how precious pets are just like babies with a big smile the boys agreed patting his soft curly head.
Needless to say the owner was of another persuasion concerning children. Let's just say she was not for life. I didn't find out till my sons told me of her sad position in the demise of children.

I find it amazing how God unwittingly puts us such a precarious position and encourages us through the beauty of his creation to speak up for the truth.

Remember: Pet owners of America Unite for the Right to Life....of all God's creation.

Enjoy: Your babies today, tomorrow and always....as you comb their fluffy hair :)

ODE TO THE REDWOOD TREES...

I think that I shall never see....
A Poem lovely as a Tree;
A Tree who's hungry mouth is prest;
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast.
A tree that looks at God all day;
And lifts her leafy arms to pray.
A Tree that may in Summer wear;
A nest of robins in her hair.
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me;
But only God can make a Tree.

ALL GOD'S CHILDREN....

They also have a big boy that is their new friend named Carlos from Mexico. He loves the boys and they look up to him. He came to the Christian Children's Home under sad circumstances abandonement by his mother who had him and his siblings living in the street.
All the Chrildren at the home love Mrs. Becky, Mr. Joe & Joel Andrew & David William so much.
Their house is full of love, joy and laughter, if you ever in New Mexico stop by, but remember you have to
be no older than the children at heart.

Remembering Christ: Suffer the little Children to come unto me for such is the Kingdom of Heaven...

Enjoy: All of God's Children....knowing that when God looks in our heart, he sees that little child in us and loves us all just the same....

PATIENCE TO DEVELOPE CHARACTER (Romans)WHAT"S YOUR DREAM?

If your wondering why the Amen, that was a personal prayer. Today the Nation celebrates Martin Luther King Day....I wonder how he'd view our Nation Today. Proud or Sad or maybe glad. Hopefully the ladder for everyone. Remembering his speech....I have been to the Mountain Top....knowing like Moses, if he'd see deliverance & the promise land. Yet, his quote always rings true for all of us: CONTENT OF CHARACTER....Holy Lord God grant us the Pure Wisdom to grow thus In Christ.....amen

TO GOD BE THE GLORY.....GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE :)

Good Morning Everyone how are you all this Glorious God given day? Well the Good News is God in his great mercy has spared the lives of the 'Son Light Children's Home (sponsored by the church of Christ). I was really worried and praying about what happened in Haiti, then remembered about a christian lady I had read about in Christian Woman magazine.

I was thinking about a story from war torn Europe how a 'One praying home was spared' during the bombing. And I prayed 'Lord, be with Roberta Edwards and her children's home. Then I received and e-mail from a family friend member of the church of Christ. She sent this photo cover of the magazine I had gotten this last week.

Was I ever glad and thanking God that this wonderful lady, her children's home and work for the Lord had been spared. They are able to feed 150 people. Pray for donations & resources for this great missionary work in Haiti.

EARTHQUAKE!!! PRAYING NEW MEXICO BOUND

We had a 6.5 earthquake in N. California. We are still feeling tremors in the beautiful victorian Village of Ferndale, California. It felt like a jackhammer swirling through our small apartment. My husband & I held each other in the doorway to our bedroom.

God in his infinite wisdom & mercy sent my daughter in love's sister to visit w/her girls. They helped up pick up the things thrown to the floor by the quake. Thank God only two items were cracked/chipped and our lives were spared. Glass fell from local stores. Our elderly friend Trudy the candy lady shop was in the news, I phoned her but no answer, hopefully shes with relatives.

Meanwhile, I am downsizing & packing & praying......Lord willing hopefully we may be moving to New Mexico to be with our Son & his family. Anyone ever live there? please share...thanks, ana

Enjoy: And Remember we are precious in God's sight, trust he has us covered at all times. I stand amazed how a simple visit turned into a lifesaver....Thank you, God.

Fresh View of "Our Front Porch"

We have been living in our "cozy" apartment in Northern California for just over eight years. It sounds like a long time and in some ways it has been, especially in the beginning. We had moved all the way across the United States in ten days in a crowded U-Haul truck: me, my wife and two terrified pet cats (growing old, set in their ways, best of friends) not having a clue what was going on, sharing a cramped pet carrier, which sat between the two seats in the cab. We also were on edge most days, probably I carried much of the stress, being the only driver in the biggest vehicle I had ever driven. I kept my worries to myself or tried, because this was my third trip across country, but the first in over twenty-five years. I had just turned fifty-six in the first half of the trip and I was having all kinds of premonitions about what could possibly happen at any given time. (Flat tire, engine trouble, bad weather: which we did encounter, motel room mishaps: which we also encountered, the cats getting loose, etc.) The worst part by far was crossing the Rocky Mountains; enough said about that experience! When we realized that the trip was almost over, we were both very relieved. After we finally arrived, I realized that the trip was over, but not that there were going to be continuing challenges as we became accustomed to our new life in way-Northern California.

HAPPY NEW YEAR-FELIZ ANO NUEVO 2010 !!!

Our son called early on in the evening to wish us a Happy New Year. The family was attending a New Year Fellowship with the New Mexico Christian Children Home where they worship, work & live. They will have a prayer time just into midnight to begin the year worshipping our Lord & Saviour God.

I took my 'Traditional nap' just after supper and kept asking hubby 'What time is it?', got out of bed at 11:57pm. Yikes, almost missed seeing my NYC New Years Eve Ball ! Well, didn't miss it. got to see Dick Clark, he's 80 years old now...what an icon of how music can inspire a man to keep on keeping on :)

Gave hubby a Happy New Years hug & kiss and sat on the blue sofa. Bang! someone outside was doing fireworks. Get me excited, I almost opened the door, not :) I said to hubby, 'They wanna put Ferndale on the map'....So tired began watching tv on a lady that came to America from Honduras, it was sad her daugther in a wheelchair and she worked so hard doing everything from washing dishes to washing dog to send money home. It touched my heart to see her struggle so. In the end, she got to see the Statue of Liberty and she said: I am an American with a smile of satisfaction on her face. It pays to work hard and do right.

Enjoy your New Year and may God will be done for everyone....
