IT WAS A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS !!!
Charlie Brown comes through once again with a great Christmas gift for the Chappel Boys. Yes, even big Joe is still a boy in Charlie Brown's eyes. Linus had a sad face perhaps tired, because he was up half the night awaiting Santa Claus...only to almost catch Lucy putting the gifts on the coffee table. Finally the feast began albeit a little late...all the Santas were tired, when suddenly Charlie Brown enters and the whole place lights up with a swinging jazz beat!!! Lucy heats up a sumptuos dinner and Linus follows everyone around listening and gathering wisdom. Charlie Brown & Lucy enjoyed the meal by complimenting their host with 'DELICIOUS!'. After dinner Linus & Charlie Brown play a sporting game of darts-Lucy had given Linus for Christmas. We all love our gragacious Lucy, she is a real cheer leader. Linus' brother received a Capscela set from Charlie Brown, but I think Linus like Charlie Brown will always be in charge of the Christmas music cd in his house...And as for Big Joe & Sweetheart Becky Santa sends a big hug & Kiss...Goodnight.

SANTA DEAR...
I created this set for a polyvore contest titled: 'Santa Dear', what we'd really love to get for Christmas this year..
I wish this year: to see a star that once guided the Wise afar;
My neighbors baby oh to see, would really fill my heart with glee.
A watch I need so every time, I'll be prepared when noon bell chimes.
A butterfly pin so pretty & light, reminds me to dream & take my flight.
A pretty magnifying glass you see, for all those things on my face, oh me.
With a chrystal item I may be spoiled, for all the times I've worked & toiled.
A bit of perfume, pretty hairpins and an apron & kitchen things...
I won 8th place in the contest !...I really enjoyed creating the set.

TRAVEL MERCIES...
For all those lonely traveling souls on the road during this Holiday season. Lets pray for traveling mercies.
I remember getting stuck one to many time in airports over night. It reminds me of that Beatles song:' All of the lonely people where do they all come from?, all of the lonely people , where do they all belong?
I hope everyone has a safe & Happy Holiday with their loved ones. I remember traveling from Pennsylvania and got stuck in a snow storm, and God was watching out for me because a family friend showed up and rescued me.
Thank God for *Angels* unawares that guide us safely through our journey. So many times, I've been spared anxiety & distress, because someone* was there to show me the way. I remember when Joey was born, I was flying to Arkansar and asked a gentleman the way( it was like he was waiting for me)...he was standing there and said ' Arkansas Go that way !', I was stunned, but rushed...I ran & later realized 'how did he know'??? ( I was in Chicago O'Hare airport !).

WISDOM TO NUMBER OUR DAYS...
I made felt stockings for the boys stuffed with treats. Blackie-cat has been hiding due to the rainy days.
Yesterday he came around with a wet back & he ate all his food. I found an old time favorite chocolate-chip cookie recipe for my son
Done with all our gift wrapping & hope to get a good nights sleep.
Enjoy your Holidays with your loved ones...Merry Christmas everyone...

ANGELS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH
Greetings from the church of Christ meeting in the Victorian Village. Thank the good Lord (answered prayer), we had a sunny day for our 'Children's Christmas party' on Sunday. We had a full house. Everyone sang Christmas Carol praises of the child Christ birth. The children read poems and they did really well. Some were shy & parents stood by their side supporting them. The hot apple cider, tea & cookies were served and we all enjoyed the wonderful treats. I opened a bag of free Christmas trinkets for the kiddos to take home. One girl took two pieces to share with her little sister. One teen received a tiny wooden carved mask.
Our son spoke on the 'Birth of Christ'...I've been studying these things all week...Matthew 1:18-23 All this took place to fulfill what the prophet Issiah spoke: 'A virgin shall give birth to a son'...The Angel told Joseph: ' You shall name him 'IMMANUEL meaning: GOD WITH US...
Luke 2: 8-14 The shepherds heard the Angels: 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor favor rest...
Mt 1:18-22..The Wise men followed the star until it rested on the child's home. Finding there Mary & Joseph and the newborn babe. They bowed down and worshiped him. They presented him with treasures of: 'Gold for the King, Incense for Prayer and myrrh for a rich burial.
Luke 2:17-20 When the Shepherds saw baby Jesus, they spread the word concerning what they had been told about this child, and all who heard were amazed at what the Shepherds told them. But Mary treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart...
On a personal note: As I ponder this truth & grace in my heart...I wonder what daily treasures do I bring to Christ in my life???
Remember: Enjoy a blessed Holiday with friends & loved ones...and share the 'Treasured Angelic Good News...with one & all....

PRINCESS
No one said it was easy being a Princess.
This reminds me of my daughter-in love, she keeps busy all the time. Always baking delicious bread for the family & driving our grandsons to some new adventure. They all remain very active in Home School activities. Last Saturday, they all went to a Kiddies Matinee at a nearby theater sponsored by local vendors. The boys got free teddy bear, oh so cute, too. This week one of the boys is playing the cello at a recital. And Sunday is our Christmas party. Followed by another go at the Kiddie Matinee next weekend. I hope they each get a Teddy bear, Davey said he'd give me his teddy. Sometimes he sends a teddy home with me to keep me company...Well got to go rest...

BRUNCH AT MI CASA SU CASA
Oh, that we would praise Our Holy Lord God for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men. For he satisfieth the longing soul and filleth the hungry soul with goodness....Psalm107:8,9
On Sunday's after worship, we enjoyed a really good brunch at my daughter in-love's house, she's a wonderful cook. She has a 'Bed & Breakfast Cookbook', and it's full of great recipes. French toast was on the menu and it got rave reviews. My husband & I enjoyed it very much The fun & fellowship we share with each other is really awesome. Our grandsons respectfully wait for the ladies to be seated, as they pull out our chairs. My son shares good news from the Sunday paper, as the boys share the delite of their lastest adventure and my husband & I compliment the cook. Meanwhile, Isaac the family dog was begging for treats, he got a chicken snacks and devoured it with pleasure. It's not every day we get to sit down to such a fabulous feast, but we all really enjoy our 'Sunday-Brunch' together.

A REFRESHING PAUSE
Once settled in , he'd go down to hang out in his grandfather's rec-room. There he would get a cool refreshing glass bottle of coke. He loved it, because he could relax & enjoy watching television all by himself. The leather burgundy sofa took some getting use to, but once broken in was very comfortable.
In the summer, he'd sit in a nice cool screened-in porch and have a delicious coke. So Coke has always been his favorite soft drink.
Yesterday was quite a busy day, with God's help Andy was able to replace a tire on a car belonging to a couple from Santa Rosa.. The coke gave him the energy to go back to Fortuna. Once done, he stopped for a refreshing pause of his coke bottle.
ENJOY & REMEMBER: Things go better with Coke....

DEDICATED TO THE ONE I LOVE
This is dedicated to the one I love,
Each night before you go to bed my baby.
Whisper a little prayer for me my baby.
And tell all the stars above,
This is dedicated to the one I love.
Life may never be exactly like you want it to be,
I can be sure of one thing knowing you love me.
There's one thing I want you to do especially for me,
and it's something that everybody needs.....
Each night before you go to bed my baby;
whisper a little prayer for me my baby.
and tell all the stars above...
This is dedicated to the one I love...

HOLIDAY FEAST
The turkey looked toasty & smelled great. The boys helped with the meal preparations. Everything went smoothly & quickly. Our daughter-in-love baked one apple & one pumpkin pie for dessert. The spread was on time. And our younger grandson, Davey, thoughtfully helped his Papi with a special chair for his back.
Everyone was excited especially Davey as he kept saying, 'I'm hungry'. So I took him to his bedroom and he showed me the small Christmas tree and his Jesee Tree labels. All were seated, we gave thanks and the meal was nice & hot. The dining table looked lovely & the meal smelled delicious.
Our Children & grandsons always do a great job of welcoming us into their home. We enjoy; love & appreciate all they do for us.
