El Brindis del Bohemio (Guillermo Aguirre) Voz Manuel Bernal
A New Year Toast-El Brinde(toast) del Bohemia (of the poet)....was played every New Years Eve at my folks home. My father would time it to Toast when the clock would strike midnight! Bong! and the poem would begin....it's a lovely melodious poem of men toasting to Hope-Esperanza and Destino-Destiny....but the last toast is the best of all. The man toast to woman not to the one with artificially perfumed curls....but to his mother's poetic face, he first saw from the crib. His mother who gave him life from her blood and gave her whole heart to take care of him (crying yet....) His mother who though absent awaits imploring to him from beyond and though absent is his guiding star....oh yes, break out with the tissue....for all those who have loved and lost and remember a mother's heartfelt love & devotion once again.

Trayectoria de un Pueblo - Puerto Rico
History of the indeginous Taino-Indians of the Caribe Island of Puerto Rico....note our African ancestry and all they suffered. We are a mixed race and proud of it....all brothers in suffering and just causes. Proud yet humble, sincere yet with Valor we protect & defend our own. Read a book by a Jewish-anthropologist 'People of the Island' how the Taino were so clean in their dailey rituals. They would go to bathroom in a flushed downstream area and not use that water for anything else. They started a simple game of baseball-batey...and the word hurricane came from them huracan. They were peaceful people....light tan w/sandy colored hair. The Spaniard came looking for India and Columbus called them Indians. The National Anthem of Puerto Rico tells of how when Columbus arrived, he saw the Island of Boriquen, he exclaimed with admiration, 'Oh, la tierra borinque que busco yo, Oh, la tierra del Mar y el Sol....del Mar y el Sol...Oh the land of Borinquen, that I'm looking for, Oh, the land of Sea and Sun, the Sea and Sun...it's a beautiful songs, as are all the old melodies of my parents island that bring tears to my eyes. The African were enslaved for labor to our shame that our fore-father's treated them so badly. One day a Spaniard was mis-treating a Taino and the young Indian fought back, the Spaniard fell on a rock and it was there the young Taino Indian discovered that the Spaniards were not gods, but bled and died like men. The Taino Indians rescued their Africans and hid them in the hills and married their daughters. There are still people that live 'en los montes' the Hill people called JIBARO (hibaro) still Indian (not mixed race). We are proud of our peoples...such a rich & cultural history has so much to offer in words & deeds. The first picture show a true JIBARO from el campo :) with his wife & babe. The ANIMATION is AWESOME with a lovely tune of P.Rican melody and the artistry is dazzling & amazing....theirs one with an old lady on the porch...I like to think that's me :) with the grey hair. Who wouldn't want to live en el campo de Puerto Rico, it's beautiful out there with the cool fresh clean air. The song say, I've seen the earthly lite that makes me think of distant lands....the next picture is my favorite 3 races in one need I say more...it's awesome how God bought us all together to prove to the world we are all created in his image, he accomplished it in the Puerto Ricans :) Then everyone dance to the tune of the coqui! our Indian tree frog calling his princess bride...all brothers & sisters....we don't have distant cousins, we call each other Primos-hermanos....Cousins-brothers cause we are all raised in our Father's house.....and last but not least we all clap as when the planes land in the Boriquen *the Island of Enchantment'-Boriquen *La Isla del Encanto*......
