New Eureka VA Clinic Officially Opens The San Francisco VA Medical Center has officially opened the new Eureka VA Clinic at 930 W. Harris St. The new clinic replaces VA's former location at 713 F.St. All clinic services have transferred from the current management of private contractors Dr. Bian Craig and Nancy Craig to the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Services enrolled Veterans can receive include: primary care, mental health, pharmacy, laboratory test, x-rays, telemedicine, and home-based primary care. New Programs have also been added. These include audiology, optometry, podiatry, and prosthetics. In the future, Veterans will also be able to receive physical therapy. Expanded use of telemedicine to access specialty care at the medical center will help reduce the need for Humboldt County Veterans to make the 270-mile journey to San Francisco. "With more than 40 percent of America's Veterans living in rural areas, this new clinic is a perfect example of VA keeping our commitment to ensuring our rural Veterans receive quality care, " said Medical Center Director Larry Carroll in his welcoming remarks. 5 fun things to know about St. Patrick's Day
IN HONOR OF MY IRISH SON My son Joseph George Chappel III who is of Irish descent...His People come from Dublin, Ireland. Grandma Nolan told me her mother was born in America. Grandma Nolan's father's name was Joseph Chappell note the 2 LL's denoting he was of French descent. She showed me a photo of her father on horseback, as a little boy~his hair was Raven-black, and my son as a toddler looked just like him. Upon arrival from the Hospital, Grandma Nolan called my son her 'Dark Irish' because his hair was Raven-black. Thru-out his toddler-days, she's always exclaimed how much he reminded her of her Irish-French Father. She loved little Joey so much...he grew up in her home under her and Aunt Rosie's loving care...Being spoiled, changed and bedded under their watchful eyes. She'd tell me to put him out in the Spring air and he grew healthier every day. She'd share at times how much joy and love 'Baby Joey' bought to her home in Queens, N.Y....we were truly Blessed by God at that precious time in our life~when we needed a Home and Family...and as the Irish saying goes and we lived it at Grandma house~'May the Saints preserve us'...Heart 2 Heart mami nana ana :) excerpts from Blessed Memories in Queens, NYC circa: Spring 1971

How Similar Are Spanish and Italian?
Sometimes, when my Italian Father would get flustered in getting his point across, he's speak in Italian and only my oldest sister would truly understand what he was saying. I listened and picked up tidbits here and there...as I grew older he'd say 'Caprich' (not necessarily spelled like that) and I'd shake my head and repeat what he'd say in that respect I believe i understand some words of Italian...thank God's goodness for listening ears <3 mami nana ana :)

He was accosted during his daughters play at her school gathering. A woman mother of another child proceeded to hit him and he felt his daughter was in danger. Being a gentleman and shocked at her anxious & scarey behavior he walked away and got himself and his daughter quickly away from the frightening situation. Pray for those in the Entertainment Industry who's lives are threatened and harrassed by the insanity of discontent & billigerant bullies...God help us all. 'Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

A Mother's Love of her Daughter, they were One in Heart...Debbie & Carrie remind me of my mother and oldest sister...they were very close in heart. My Sister & Mother had a similar relationship...the drama, drugs and forgiveness. When my mother died a part of my sister died...I thought she was going to die on the spot, as we left my mother's burial...my sister cried her heart out.
