DAVEY'S BIRTHDAY....

Tomorrow Sunday,the Lords'Day,we will worship, and in the afternoon, we will all celebrate our grandsons'birthday.
I created this polyvore-card of all his creature friends joining in to cheer everyone.

On this one Special Day the weather was so fantastically Great;
all our Family & Homeschool friends came to Daveys' birthday party to Celebrate.
The ideal theme was Sherlock Holmes and everyone had to Investigate;
Bags of pad & pencils were given to all;
All of Daveys' friends young & tall.
A scavenger hunt began with full swing;
While clues were laid out and Teslor did win!
Everyone ate a chocolate treat;
All the food was great, oh so sweet.
Davey enjoyed opening his gifts;
Then we heard a Violin, oh what a lift!
The sound was like music to our ears;
As everyone laughed and Davey smiled with cheer.

Remember: To count your blessings, as gifts from above.....

JOYS OF SUMMER....

Open your eyes and don't miss a thing;
Of all the Joy our God in this wonderful season does bring.
Today is the only day that we have to enjoy;
Plans for the future is Gods' to deploy.
In the light of the morning sun;
May you truly remember & appreciate Gods'son/sun.
Our days' are like smoke flicker up from a light;
that comes from Christ, who has won the fight.
So don't despair and just pre-prayer your day;
as you walk in Christ light of 'Truth, Life & way.

JOYS OF JOURNALING :)

I found a booklet-type calendar with the theme 'Womans' Art', and began scrapbooking magazine clips and writing notes & quotes. It really looks nice and neat.
I checked 'Art-Journaling' on You-tube of Suzy-blu, she has really fun ideas.
So I decided to create my own unique style and am enjoying it very much
.
I invite everyone to try their own way of journaling their joys, dreams & hope.....
Remember: Enjoy your life as you count your blessings with loved ones. Show & tell :)

MY GRANDSON SINGING BRINGS JOY TO GOD & FAMILY...

Our grandsons' Joey song leading really makes me glad. Every Saturday, he calls with his choices of 'Worship songs for Sunday.
I created this Polyvore Set to show & tell how cheered up it makes me feel. I hope he will be able to see and be sure of how much encouragement he brings to us all. He truly is growing into a wonderful child of God. He is full of cheer and always ready, willing and able to do his best for everyone. We love him and hope and pray God continue to grace him with wisdom and health to serve him.

We always love & appreciate our young & beautiful song bird.

A CALIFORNIA SMILE FROM A TEXAS BEAUTY....

A bright shining star with a gleaming  smile. She was shy about her teeth, but they and her luscious golden hair bought her much fame. A true Texan, she had big hopes & dream, as she challenged every stumbling block in her way. I remember her as one of 'Charlies' Angel' a funny and charming young lady find her way around such a challenging business. I really like the commercial she did with Joe Namath, it's so cute. She wipes shaving cream on his chin and he yells out a whoppie!, as Farrah flashes her famous smile.
That bright smile soon dimmed, as she recorded her last challenging journey with liver cancer. A brave and often quiet girl seen speaking to her tall Texan daddy about her conversation with God. She really shared what it's like to look death in the face and putting on a brave fight for her right to life. Ryan O'neil had their son come to visit his mom, they called him 'Red' and you could see his red-head bow down at his mother bed asking her, 'How are you, mommy'? . It was a touching private moment recorded for everyone to understand how cancer cannot defeat the love between mother & child.
Farrah Fawcett took a trip to Mexico and got close up to an Iguana giggling in terror. She danced at a dinner party. Celebrated Christmas of 2008 with rejoicing for another Holiday with her loved ones. I love and admire her strength of character in the face of adversity. Never giving up hope. Ryan was with her till the end. And know what she died with her eyes open, she wasn't missing a thing-face to face was her way of dealing with life & death. And I'm sure she smiled all the way.....
Remember & Enjoy: Good health check-ups ...do it for you & loved ones. And Smile for Farrah :)

O'HAPPY DAY

One day, she said 'Why don't we have a bible study, I feel like such a heathen'. I laughed and said 'Okay!', it sounded hopeful with all the changes I had been going through, I need real answers for my life.
At that same time, I needed new child-care and she referred me to another lady in the complex. The lady was a teacher by profession, and I soon found out a New Testament Christian member of The church of Christ. She had students from Harding Christian College staying with her. One of the young ladies invited me to a Wednesday evening service. I invited my best friend,who's idea it was in the first place, but sadly she declined. She was so good in planting the idea in my heart. She loved my family and we in turn loved & trusted her companionship and enjoyed many holidays together. However, this new journey was only with 'My God and I'.
I began an open bible study with my new christian-teacher neighbor and friend.
The unique and exciting thing about her approach was that she opened the Bible, and as I asked her question & concerns about my faith,she pointed to a verse to confirm or share a eye opening scripture. Subsequently, it led me to understand and the desire to be just a 'New Testament Christian' was confirmed and I believed & obeyed just like the early Christians in Acts 2:38 and was baptized and added to the Lords' church as stated in Acts 2:47.
Excuse me I have to answer the phone. Oh my ! What a surprise ! it's my best friend from years ago. The lady I first wrote about above :) My son had found his best friend on Facebook and he gave his mom our phone #. It was so great hearing from her after so many years. She's still living in relatively the same area. Her children are a bit scattered, but close by. I told her all that has happened since we last saw each other.
Catching up was so much fun ;) It opened my eyes to see & recall how much God has blessed our lives. We spoke of fun, sorrow and joy. It's like we're right back to where we started from. I just wrote her a note, in it I thanked her for being a true mentor and friend. She was the best mother in the neighborhood and now she's back to be my friend :)
REMEMBER & ENJOY:  Have new friends, but keep the old for one is Silver the other Gold....
