Surprised, found this video looking for the origins of the Italian Song 'Volare' this is great. It depicts how the song came into being.I understand some of the words my Papi use to speak to us when we were little in Italian. Someday, when I 'Volare'fly up to 'El Chello' the sky 'Infinito' Infinite~you will love to understand the Joy & heartache this song means to me. The fact that my mother broke 'Mario Lancer' records in half on her knees because she got tired of hearing 'Italian songs' my father and I were 'silenced' into submission. So don't ever let a woman, mother or wife silence you from what you love and desire to do in life...sad, after my mom died my Papi said, 'Ahora,yo puede hablar'~'Now, I can speak'.So sad~so late...we were all stunned and sad when we heard him say that.My sister Millie was gonna open her mouth, but he told her 'Te me callas'~'Shut up'. We were all like 'Woe'. So there is the story of the Italian Baker in love with the only one of us who understood & spoke Italian clearly my oldest sister Carmen. In the morning while the scent of Pan Italiano would waft up to our window, he'd sing Volare to her...and listening again breaks my heart for my father and my sister~cause she would have never gone hungry if she would have married, 'El Italiano~who sang Volare to her' every morning. Love stories tearfully told from my past~Mami, Nana, Ana 4/19/22/AD
